Candidate statement

Being a long term energy industry employee and Energy Super member I have a very good understanding of the required performance and investment management of member’s investments.

Having significant director and executive general manager experience I bring very good management skills supported by significant risk management and insurance experience in asset management and financial trading from the generation sector of electricity industry and from strategic and commercial advises to both public and private businesses. Direct responsibility for the management and performance of $3bn of public assets, $750 million budgets and the provision of advices on the strategic and commercial establishment of up to $5bn of private assets (transaction size) is a solid basis for the management of fund member’s investments.

There is also an understanding of Energy Supers investment decision making and asset management processes through board membership, at the request of the fund Chairman, to assist in the management of one of its investments.

Currently I hold directorships for a consultancy business and of a small battery technology business.
