Jeremy’s values are authentic and client-focused, allowing him to provide advice with an optimal level of service built on old-fashioned values. He aims to deliver financial advice in a manner that is easy to understand and comprehend.

Jeremy’s philosophy is centred upon working hard, disciplined principles and sticking to a plan, then naturally the goal or summit will be reached. Jeremy’s 18 years of financial planning experience has seen his career specialise in superannuation and retirement planning.

Personally, he is a self-confessed sports tragic where his veins bleed the Australian colours, and he is also patiently awaiting the Wallabies to return with the Bledisloe Cup away from New Zealand.

James entered the Financial Planning Industry in 2015, bringing with him a wealth of knowledge and a deep-seated passion for helping clients achieve their financial goals. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Financial Planning, and has been serving as a Financial Adviser since 2018. Additionally, James has completed his Masters of Applied Finance, further enhancing his expertise.

James is committed to making superannuation straightforward and accessible, believing that ‘simple is best’. His approach is centred on demystifying financial concepts and providing clear, actionable advice that empowers clients to reach their goals. 

Outside of his professional endeavours, James finds joy in hiking and fishing; activities that allow him to unwind and connect with nature.

Katarina Glarin | AdvDipFP, BCom, MProfAcc

Senior Financial Adviser - Superannuation


Katarina has over 20 years’ experience working in the investment banking and superannuation industries. She specialises in providing advice regarding insurance, contribution strategies and investment options, and helps members understand financial strategies and products that can help them achieve their financial goals.

Katarina migrated from Sweden to study at Griffith University in Brisbane. She graduated with a Bachelor of Commence, Banking and Finance at the top of her class and then completed a Master of Professional Accounting. After starting with the Fund more than 15 years ago, she completed an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and became an adviser.

Outside of work Katarina enjoys spending time with her family.

Financial Adviser - Retirement


Gabrielle has worked in financial planning for over 15 years in a variety of roles including paraplanning, technical support and advising. She has experience providing advice on retirement, tax, Centrelink, estate planning, insurances and, of course, superannuation.

She is passionate about advising on superannuation in particular because it is an excellent tool for saving for retirement, but knows that the many ever-changing rules can make superannuation seem daunting. Her goal is to provide advice in a way that is easy to understand and allows members to enjoy their retirement, instead of worrying about their super.

Gabrielle is a Certified Financial Planner who holds a Bachelor of Commerce and an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning

When Gabby’s not at work, she can be found caravanning near the beach with her family or taking a long walk in nature.

Rayya is a highly skilled, professional and driven financial adviser with over 15 years of practice experience. During this time, she has dedicated herself to providing clients with ethical and goals-based advice, and she is focused on helping clients achieve financial security and freedom.

Rayya has built her career on success through service, and Financial Planning is her craft. She is a Certified Financial Planner who also holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning.

Outside of work, Rayya enjoys spending time with her family as well as keeping fit with hot yoga, and resistance and weight training.

Financial Adviser - Superannuation


Darshil has over 13 years’ experience in the finance industry as an adviser. He made Australia his home in 2009 and has been working with some of Australia’s largest superannuation funds as an adviser for almost 10 years.

Darshil is passionate about understanding members’ goals and helping them increase their confidence and knowledge of superannuation – allowing them to be proactive in enhancing their current and future financial wellbeing.

Darshil holds an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning, Master of Business in Applied Finance (Advanced), Diploma of Financial Management, Diploma in Business Management and Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting.

Outside of work, Darshil loves spending quality time with his wife and two beautiful children. He is also a professional musician, specialising in playing bamboo flute (bansuri). He currently performs and teaches both, nationally and internationally.

Steven has been in the financial services industry since 2009. He has worked in all facets of the financial planning industry including as a client service officer, a paraplanner, and now as a Financial Adviser.

Steven specialises in developing strategies to assist his clients to meet their goals leading up to retirement and beyond. He holds a Bachelor of Business degree and a Graduate Diploma of Financial Planning.

Outside the office, Steven enjoys spending time with his wife and two kids and, if time allows, scuba diving.

Cameron is passionate about helping clients feel confident in their financial decisions and works closely with them to build long-term, achievable strategies.

Cameron studied at Griffith University on the Gold Coast, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Taxation. He later completed a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning to deepen his technical knowledge and further support his clients with holistic financial advice.

Outside of work, Cameron enjoys staying active—he’s a keen runner, rock climber and gym enthusiast.

Emily became a Registered Financial Adviser in 2018 and has continued to strengthen her technical capability through ongoing professional development. She holds a Master of Financial Planning with Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) accreditation, along with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Business Law and Finance. Her strong academic foundation underpins the high‑quality advice and guidance she provides to members every day.

Emily is passionate about helping people build long‑term financial security and empowering them with clear, practical strategies to make confident decisions.

Outside of work, Emily enjoys spending time in nature—exploring national parks, hiking scenic trails and relaxing by the beach. She also loves spending time with her family, finding connection and balance in the moments they share together.

Outside the office, Matt enjoys live music and growing vegetables in his yard.

Kody is an Advice Coordinator with over four years of experience in the superannuation industry. He is currently studying a Bachelor of Business, majoring in Financial Planning and Accounting, further strengthening his commitment to supporting members with quality financial guidance.

Passionate about improving accessibility to good financial advice, Kody believes that clear and thoughtful guidance can make a meaningful difference to members’ peace of mind and long‑term financial outcomes. He finds genuine joy in speaking with members, helping them understand their options, and connecting them with the advice that best supports their needs.

Outside of work, Kody enjoys spending quality time with friends and family and making the most of the beautiful natural surroundings he’s fortunate to call home.

Nics is an Advice Coordinator who plays a key role in supporting the financial advice team and ensuring members receive a smooth, well‑coordinated, and positive advice experience. He works closely with advisers and internal teams to manage advice processes, coordinate appointments, and support timely and efficient outcomes for members.

He holds a Bachelor of Arts, a Diploma of Business, and a Certificate III in Business, and is known for his clear communication style, approachable manner, and strong organisational skills.

Nics finds great fulfilment in guiding members through the advice process and helping them feel informed, supported, and comfortable as they engage with financial advice. It is absolutely rewarding for him to support members as they gain confidence throughout their retirement journey. He believes meaningful conversations are the foundation of a positive advice experience.

Outside of work, Nics enjoys reading self‑help and positive mindset books and spending quality time with friends and family. His optimistic outlook and calm approach help members feel comfortable, supported, and confident as they move through the advice process.

Advice Manager


Melissa has over 15 years of experience in the financial services industry, having held a variety of transformation and leadership roles. She is passionate about making financial advice accessible and raising awareness of its value, helping members understand how high‑quality, personalised advice can positively shape their lifestyle leading up to and throughout retirement.

Melissa works closely with teams across the advice process to ensure members enjoy a seamless, supportive experience when seeking guidance. Her focus is on empowering advisers to deliver quality advice at scale, so every member feels confident and prepared for the future.

Melissa holds a Master of Business Administration and a Diploma of Financial Planning.

Craig’s 24 years leadership across the education and finance industries means he looks at advice from a behavioural perspective. This leads to great conversations to assist members work out what they want to achieve regarding their needs.

As an adviser, Craig has experience in providing comprehensive advice including wealth creation and protection as well as retirement planning, estate planning and Centrelink.

Craig holds a Graduate Diploma in Financial Planning, a Master of Business Administration and Master of Education.

Outside of work, his time is devoted to his wife and three children – enjoying being an active part in all their pursuits.

Head of Superannuation and Retirement Advice


Hayley Powell leads Brighter Super’s Superannuation and Retirement Advice team, supporting members to make confident decisions about their financial future.

With over 15 years’ experience in financial advice, Hayley has deep expertise in superannuation, retirement planning and investment strategies. She holds a Master of Financial Planning and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors (GAICD).

Hayley is passionate about making advice clear, accessible, and easy to understand. Known for her approachable, values-led leadership style, she is focused on building a supportive team that delivers great outcomes for members. Hayley migrated from the UK to Queensland in 2009 and loves to be on the water, experiencing adventure holidays and travelling with her family.

She is currently undertaking a Masters of Organisational Leadership at Melbourne Business School.
