Annual Members’ Meeting

The 2022 Annual Members Meeting has now passed. See below for a summary of the event, video recording and meeting minutes.

 

All members were invited to attend the 2022 Annual Members Meeting which was held at 12pm (AEST) on Tuesday 29 November 2022 at Brisbane City Hall and online.

The LGIAsuper Trustee provided an update with:

  • Presentations from our Chair John Smith, CEO Kate Farrar and CIO Mark Rider
  • Update on the formation of the Brighter Super Group
  • Performance of the Brighter Super fund in 2021/22
  • Recent changes to legislation
  • The year ahead, and the future direction of the fund

What is included in the remuneration expenditure?
This the remuneration of Executive Officers of the Fund for the financial year 2021/2022. Further information about this remuneration is available on our website.

What is included in the promotion, marketing and sponsorship expenditure?
This includes design, production and distribution of Fund promotional or educational materials, advertising development and media costs, and partnership arrangements.

What is included in the political donations?
Brighter Super does not make political donations.

What is included in the payments to industrial bodies?
This includes payments to organisations registered under the Fair Work (Registered Organisations) Act 2009 for member access, distribution of Fund promotional and education materials and marketing of the Fund.

What is included in the Related Party Payments?
This includes payments made to entities which are wholly owned by Brighter Super. The payments relate to administration, advice and management services provided to the Fund by its related entities.
