The Asteron Traditional Capital Guarantee Fund option is now closed for new members.

The Asteron Traditional Capital Guaranteed Fund provides a capital guarantee and maximise returns from a mix of shares, property, alternative growth assets, fixed interest and cash.

The Traditional Capital Guaranteed Fund aims to earn a rate of return that exceeds Consumer Price Index (CPI) increases by at least 0.50% over a rolling 10 year period.

Important things to consider
As the Asteron Traditional Capital Guaranteed Fund option is a closed product, if you fully withdraw your investment from this option, then you won’t be able to reinvest in this option in the future. To keep this option open to you, you must maintain at least $1 in the option. However, to maintain the investment option you should consider leaving a sufficient amount to cover any fees and insurance premiums.

Q. Can I still invest in this investment option even though it is closed?

Yes. If you're already invested in the Asteron Traditional Capital Guaranteed Fund option, you can:

Make additional contributions, and

Switch your investment into a Pension if you start a Brighter Super Pension account

If you fully withdraw your investment, you won’t be able to reinvest in this option in future.

Q. How can I move money into or out of the Asteron Capital Guaranteed Fund option?

As the Asteron Traditional Capital Guaranteed Fund option is closed, if you want to switch out your whole balance you can log in to Member Online. If you want to make an investment switch but leave some money in the Asteron Traditional Capital Guaranteed Fund you need to complete and submit the Change your investment option form.
