Brighter Super launches new podcast series to help Australians build their retirement confidence

4 August 2026

Brighter Super is expanding its award-winning member education program with the launch of In the Hammock: Super and Retirement Seen Clearly, a new podcast and video series designed to help Australians better understand superannuation, retirement and financial wellbeing.

The launch comes as Brighter Super's 2025–26 State of Retirement Report found retirement confidence has declined over the past six months, reinforcing the need for clear, practical guidance to help Australians make informed decisions about retirement.

Featuring Brighter Super experts and special guests, including retirement advocate David ‘Kochie’ Koch, the series answers the questions Australians ask most about superannuation, retirement planning and investments in super, breaking down complex topics into clear, accessible conversations.

Brighter Super Chief Member Officer Lisa Kay said Australians are increasingly looking for trusted information delivered in ways that fit into their everyday lives.

"In the Hammock podcast extends our member education program beyond seminars, webinars and one-on-one advice, giving people another way to engage with trusted information, whether they’re growing their super, preparing for retirement or already enjoying retirement.

Our goal is simple - to help Australians feel more informed, more confident and better equipped to make decisions about their financial future."

The launch follows another year of industry recognition for Brighter Super's commitment to advice and member education.

In 2026, the fund was awarded Best Fund: Advice Services at the Chant West Awards1 and named a finalist for both Super Fund of the Year and Pension Fund of the Year, recognising the fund’s continued commitment to delivering high-quality advice, education and guidance for members.

In the Hammock Podcast launches on Apple Podcasts, Spotify and YouTube on Tuesday 4 August.

Our first episode tackles a question many Australians ask: How much is enough to retire? Featuring Brighter Super’s Peter Hoban and David ‘Kochie’ Koch
