2023 Annual Statements

2023 Annual Statements will be ready between September and December

Your latest account details and some of the information included in your statement is available online right now.

We are currently working to align and improve Annual Statements, following the recent merger of LGIAsuper, Energy Super and Suncorp Super, and will be progressively issuing statements from September until the end of the calendar year. We remain committed to providing statements by the legislative time frame of 31 December 2023.

The good news for many members is that some of the information in your Annual Statement is available in Member Online or on our website right now. The table below will help you to find what you’re looking for.

You can find your contributions in Member Online under My Accounts/Transactions. You can look at your transactions on screen or download an Excel spreadsheet with all of your transaction history for the 2022/23 financial year and reorder or filter the spreadsheet to find any contributions to your account.

Fee rebate amounts

If you were due a fee rebate for the 2022/23 financial year, this has already been processed and paid into your account. Please note that spouse rebates have not yet been processed.

If you received a rebate you can find it in Member Online. Go to My Accounts/Transactions, select ‘previous year’ and search for ‘fee rebate’.

For former Suncorp Super members:

If you were due a fee rebate for the 2022/23 year this was processed prior to the transfer of your account to Brighter Super and is shown on your exit statement sent to you in July.

Total Fees for 2022/23

If you have a Brighter Super account or are invested in the Brighter Super MySuper option:

Your administration fees and costs, along with your investment fees and costs are not deducted directly from your account but are factored into the calculation of the unit price each day. This means you’ll need to wait for your Annual Statement to see the dollar amount of your fees for the 2022/23 financial year.

You are charged an:

  • Administration fee of 0.18% p.a. capped at $900 plus 0.07% p.a, (the 0.07% p.a. is not deducted from your account balance / investment returns but is deducted from the Fund’s General Reserve)

  • Investment fee dependent on your investment option.

Find out more about our Fees and costs.

If you are a former Suncorp Super member:

After your account was transferred to Brighter Super on 1 June 2023, you will have received an Account Closure Statement for your Suncorp Super account in the mail. This statement shows your transactions, fees and investment returns for the 11 months from 1 July 2022 to 31 May 2023. Your Brighter Super Annual Statement will include details for the final month of the year from 1 June 2023 to 30 June 2023.

For investment options which are not MySuper, you can find the administration fees and activity fees which have been deducted from your account balance for June 2023 in Member Online under My Accounts/Transactions.

Investment fees and costs for 2022/23

You will need to wait for your Annual Statement to see your investment fees and costs. These fees are not deducted directly from your account but are factored into the calculation of the unit price each day. You can find the rates for each investment option in the latest Investment choice guide or our Fees and costs page.

Earnings for 2022/23

While only your Annual Statement will show your personal earnings for the year, you can find out more about the strong returns delivered by Brighter Super in the 2022/23 financial year.

Brighter Super’s MySuper option (the default for Accumulation accounts) returned 10.62%1 for the 12 months to the end of June 2023, marking excellent performance in a challenging year.

Brighter Super’s Growth option produced a 12-month return of 12.61%1 to 30 June 2023, while the Balanced option also returned double-digit growth of 10.60% over the same period¹ for its accumulation accounts. Many other options have also performed strongly. See our latest performance or visit the dedicated page for each option to see annual returns for this year and past years - links to each option's page are on our investment options page.

  1. For MySuper and Brighter Super options, returns are reported on a basis of soft close valuations and are net of investment fees and costs and transaction costs, net of taxes, and net of the percentage-based administration fee (accrued in the unit price). Investment returns are not guaranteed. Past performance is not a reliable indicator of future performance.
